Vocal Program

The St Joseph's Vocal Program includes the Junior Joeys (Yr 1-3 choir), The Senior Singers (Yr 4-6 choir), Liturgy/Mass Singers and vocal coaching.  Singing lessons are on offer through Lindzmuse and enrolment forms can be located in the Instrumental Program site.

Choir

All vocal groups are fully inclusive (no auditions required) and require the students to have a willingness to learn part singing and can follow through a year-long commitment to their singing team.

Junior Joeys

Junior Joey practices begin Week 3, Term One.  The aim of this ensemble is to foster a love of singing through humourous songs, vocal warm-up games and movement.  Performances occur at school/parish functions and aged care facilities.

Senior Singers

The aim of this ensemble is to develop a unified choral sound with some part-singing.  Songs vary from classical to rock.  Weekly rehearsals have resulted in the Senior Singers winning at the 2012 Sunshine Coast Eisteddfod.  Other performances include school assemblies and entertaining the residents of local aged care facilities.

In a musical year, the Senior Singers enrolments will open in Term 2 and practices begin in Term 3.  In a non-musical year (even numbered year) the enrolments are opened from Week One, Term One, with practices beginning in Week Three.
