TEACHING & LEARNING
As a Catholic School, St Joseph's is committed to providing an educational environment within a framework of Benedictine values. We aim to instil in our students a zest for lifelong learning. Our focus is on encouraging our students to be active investigators, designers and creators, quality producers, community contributors, effective communicators, leaders and collaborators. We aim to assist our learners to become self-directed and reflective while developing spiritually, physically, intellectually, creatively, socially and emotionally. Our teaching and learning focus will nurture within each child their individual abilities and interests, and encourage their imagination to persevere and thrive.
Founded by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, St Joseph's is a community based on strong traditions and history within the parish of Nambour. As a dynamic faith community, we strive to be responsive to the needs of all our members by living tolerance, respect, love and compassion in all our endeavours. The school is integral to the local community. It is a place where people feel welcome and know that they belong, where true and lasting friendships are built, the work and commitment of teachers is appreciated, and parental and community involvement is highly valued and appreciated.
