We Welcome Our Executive Director

It was a great pleasure to have Pam Betts, our Executive Director with us for the day yesterday. Pam is keenly interested in the daily happenings and challenges of schools exemplified by when I asked what it was she wanted to experience while here, the response was…”I just want to come and have a cup of tea with everyone and to see for myself the good things that are happening at the school.” Her accessibility and her approachability are qualities that are really valued by all of her school staffs and it was a delight to have her spend time with us, getting to know us, the Joey’s community.

Year 6 Students developed a concept to support people living on the streets of Nambour by creating care packages of personal sanitary items.
Following their project being presented at Assembly, families generously donated items.
The pack consisted of hair ties, a comb/brush, soap, moisturiser, hand sanitiser, antibacterial wipes, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant and a pair of socks.
Over 80 packs were distributed.
