
The
St Joseph’s Vocal program offers a Yr. 4-6 choir, Senior Singers, a Yr. 1-3
choir, Junior Joeys, Liturgy/Mass Cantor practices and vocal coaching. Singing lesson enrolment forms can be found
on the parent portal under Instrumental Enrolment.
All vocal groups are fully inclusive (no audition required) and require the students to have a willingness to learn part singing and can follow through a year-long commitment to their singing team.
Junior Joeys
Junior Joey practices begin Week 3, Term One. The aim of this ensemble is to foster a love of singing through humorous songs, vocal warm-up games and movement. Performances occur at school/parish functions, aged care facilities and biennially competing in the Sunshine Coast Eisteddfod.
Senior Singers
The aim of this ensemble is to develop a unified choral sound with some part-singing. Songs vary from classical to rock. Senior
Singers practices one hour a week and have opportunities to take on choir
leader roles within the choir and Junior Joeys.
